Located on an old Viking burial site, Lindholm Hoeje Museum represents an authentic place to learn about Viking culture. As you stand on the site, 700 ancient graves stretch out before you. The stone tombstones are well preserved on this archaeological site, which dates back to 400-1,000 CE, and the wandering sheep add to the serene panoramic view. The attached museum offers you a look into traditional Viking houses and display artifacts that were found on excavation of the grounds.   • Amazingly nice museum with tableaus, exhibits, photos and restaurant. Outside there is a large area, which was the burial place of the Viking age. The Vikings marked the graves with stone in bådform, and they are still there.

  • An exciting exhibition with some strange collections. You can dress up as a Viking as well :-)
  • Great insight into Viking culture. Hugely atmospheric, easy drive after ferry landing at Freidrickshaven
  • Surreal place! Meditation is a must!
  • Major Viking burial ground. The museum is really well done and the employees are very helpful!!
