  • Museum and cemetery right next to is quite unique in Danish and Nordic history.. The grave site is among the largest of its kind in the whole of Northern Europe and the prospect of the fjord is awesome ... The museum displays with very good exhibitions how that life in the Viking age and the time before were lived in North Jutland, in Denmark as a whole ... There are many beautiful and educational exhibitions that speaks to both children and adults! Also, there are great finds from the site, as well as period artifacts to embody one of the most exciting historical periods ... There are summer live workshops and events in which the visitors can be involved in various chores. ... Also be made there guided tours in the beautiful area ..... Are you for the Vikings and the lead-up to the Viking age, this along with the area's ring castles a must for every big and little viking................... There is a good store with exciting things about the Vikings and their lives!!

  • Definitely worth seeing, a small museum, which gives a very sober and thorough introduction to the life around the site protected on Lindholm Høje and not least the story of the site udgravelse and presents the various and diverse fund, on a nice and illustrative way. Perhaps most a place for real history fans and geeks, yet has been made with modern instruments also to make it interesting for children and laymen. A minus. Signs and powerful lighting rarely go hand in hand, not even here. It can be surprised that the staff cannot see that more of the info boards is unreadable due to. lighting conditions and location. But otherwise definitely an exciting museum which throws new light on the iron age and Viking age.

  • There are two distinct parts to Lindholm Høje. There is the archaeological site itself, which is free to enter and there is the museum, which you need to pay to see. There is also a gift shop and café...  more »
