  • A small very clean museum with nice paintings. Everything to see was awesome. Did not need anymore to fill my heart's content. A must for those who visit Aalborg.  more »
  • The building itself must be considered one of the masterpieces of famed Finnish architect Alvar Aalto and has been undergoing restoration recent years (not completely done). The museum has a world cla...  more »
  • The building itself turns my head every time I go by. All white and glass with clean, modern lines, the Kunsten museum is a work of art from the outside in. It reminds me very much of a kids science m...  more »

  • Great collection, excellent tour guide for the special exhibit.
  • It could be better. The Museum needs more objects and big names in it's collections. Installations work better, when background is more strong.
  • It has different type of modern arts, very interesting
  • Enjoyable but not remarkable
  • Great but could definitely do better.. I have been visiting this gallery all my life as this is my mothers home town. I almost didn't go this time as google told me they were permanently closed - the hotel told me differently and so i updated google on the galleries behalf - surprised that no one there had thought to do this. The refurb is definitely impressive but whats going on inside is definitely out of touch .. Was not informed that i would get a surcharge to use a credit card - twice. All the word signage in the "Ten" rooms is only in danish.. tried to translate - no free wifi, no signal. The design of this "Ten" rooms space is over busy - looks like a jumbled climbing frame and very distracting from the diverse high quality work.. Then I went downstairs to see the minute Imran Querishi paintings - so minute and beautiful and intricate the that you must stand close to see them - but wait - when you do the light behind means you cast your own shadow on the work - come on guys this is lighting a 3 year old could do better.. So a few teething problems - perhaps if the director spent less time making films about her lovely renovation [also only in danish in the library] and more time on the job at hand - showing art and showing it well this gallery will return to its old standards..
