Jomfru Ane Gade is popular with locals and tourists, thanks to its long, continuous stretch of restaurants, pubs, clubs, and bars. The street--apparently named after a nun who lived in a nearby convent--dates back to the end of the 16th century. See the preserved half-timbered houses of several merchants who used to live along the street. You'll also encounter different kinds of entertainment, such as stand-up comedy, live music, fashion shows, theme parties, and cultural exhibits. • The music is what they play on the radio. The bars are more like pubs. No real discos. Everything smell on beer. Lots of drunk people around 2:00-3:00
  • We have not been in Aalborg before one has seen the street. The street is a must, and it is a great place. You miss a wild nightlife and a good atmosphere if you do not look past the "Street"
