  • Šternberk, its location is now basically a city Castle. However, it has a lot to offer. The guide is really nice and if you combine it with the holding of an action, you won't regret it.

  • Out of season (we were in October), to visit the castle we had before by email to book a tour of the Castle. It was enough to write an email, that we would like to see the object and within one day a beautiful English (I have written an email in English) before asking me to propose the appointment. The deadline we established, language-English, price even though the trip specially organized for us still amounted to 195 kronor. On the spot it was found that Ms. guide will oprowadzała just the two of us:) She spoke really lovely English, clearly and without the typically strong Slavic accent. At the start of a surprise was the fact that, on the ground floor of the Castle lives the owner! You have a 92 years and lives with his wife, the Castle has always belonged to his family, and the only period when the castle was owned by the Sternbergs-was nationalised-a period of World War II. Despite this, the father of the present owner with the support of the inhabitants of the village has been a curator and guide to the Castle and to prevent rozkradzeniu and destroyed. The castle can be visited and the floor, our guide told us many interesting stories related to premises and exhibits. Unique, for example, was that in the library in addition to books from before the centuries we found quite a few books today-our question: what do they do here? -tour guide replied that the owner continues to use the library by reading the book here and by gathering new:) I recommend this place as a "Museum of eternal live", with its residents closer to the visitors, more personal (for example, we can see a collection of silver miniatures, which collect Granny owner). At the end I wanted to add that I admire the owner of the Castle, so that takes care of him (you can see that they are still carried out restoration work, renovations), provides a home for tourists and from what she said Ms. Guide is a nice person, which is committed to the best possible health of the object.

  • Nice castle, pretty short tour but nice, ideal for half day trip. Nice town square nearby the castle, ideal for light lunch or coffee.
  • nice castle, now in 2015 in litle reconstruction, but I strongly recomend visit even now. And I suggest to take longer tour. Also if you want just to take a rest here, uper inner courtyard is accessible to public and good place for it.
  • Krásné místo s historií
  • Very nice Castle ...
