Where to stay in Prague

As one of Europe’s main tourist destinations, Prague offers a selection of accommodations to match its popularity, from luxury hotels to very affordable hostels. For an authentic Prague experience, stay at one of the guesthouses or boutique hotels housed inside the city's historical buildings. You'll find many lodgings concentrated around the most popular sightseeing areas, such as the Old Town, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, but there are also a good number of them in other neighborhoods. The best way to make Prague feel like home is to rent a fully furnished apartment.

  • Prague is a great city but can be a bit crowded. Just 5 minutes from the Charles Bridge is this neat little park. With a number of peacocks wondering around. The walkways and flowers let you catch you...  more »
  • Nice quiet and secluded park, good to stop and relax on a bench or by the pond, perhaps with something from nearby Little Bakery Bakehouse.  more »
  • We found this place by accident. We had a great time feeding the pigeons (I don't know if we were allowed), listening to the birds sing in the trees or admiring the peacocks. If you want to get a brea...  more »

  • This is a lovely garden in the heart of the town in convenient proximity of the tram stop (Malostranska). Quiet, lots of trees, live peacocks (ok, these creatures are quite loud but magnificent!) in the back part of the premises. Ideal for walks, sitting on the bench and reading or just enjoying the beauty around.
  • I have never seen so many peacocks and peahens in one place. It's nice, but not nearly as impressive as some of the other gardens in Mala Strana. The peacocks are wonderful, however. They are not shy and were eagerly fanning their tails for admiring guests.
  • Great space for a moment of peace - remove yourself from the hostel and bustle of Prague in this little park, featuring (when we were there) an array of honking peacocks, and trees in full blossom. Perfect for a sit down after exploring the Kafka Museum.
  • A hidden gem that we discovered by chance. Surprisingly quiet here, considering it's on a busy street. There are a bunch of peacocks living here! Don't go out of your way to visit, but if you're passing by, definitely stop in.
  • Seems like it's one of the best kept secrets of Prague. Very quiet, peaceful and lush green garden located around Lesser Square. We found it on our way back from the Prague Castle. I was right in the middle of the busy area having small entrance so it's hard to be noticed. When you enter you realize that it's a niche place to spend some time in a peaceful environment. Especially if you've got kids they would love the peacocks and plucking of fruits from the trees. There is no entrance fee and we saw hardly any people.
