  • Is the home of cubism is Vice flat. White wall was impressive. Not think it a unique and distinctive appearance as left, so much impression. It may be perhaps the Interior of the House is more distinctive, and funny. Down to the tram station, Vice flood went through the front of the House.

  • Its Visegrad kubisticheskoe "journey" I began with a description of "Triple House" on the Rashinovoj embankment of the Vltava River. But for understanding-Vysehrad is extremely rich in interesting specimen of Cubism (as a whole) and creation of the architect Josef Hohla (in particular). And so meet-Villa Kovarzhovica (Kovařovicova vila)! The building bears the name of the owner of the building-Bedřich Kovarzhovica (Bedřich Kovařovic), which acquired a plot of land on the banks of the Vltava River and decided to erect a residential building on it. Work on designing it attracted the young and ambitious Cubist Josef Hohla. Construction began in 1912, it was originally a bit complicated by two factors: the plot was almost at the crossroads and had an irregular shape. Nevertheless, Comrade Hohol wonderful coped with this task and a year later the eyes of Prague and guests of the Czech capital has opened a very unusual facade, his new style of immediately bringing them attention. Villa Kovarzhovica strikingly stands out from general building ensemble vysehrad, primarily for its monumentality, a kind of special proportions, rectangular and angular chlenenijami massive speakers. While this structure reflects not only the characteristics of cubism, it helps us when the weather is good (alas, I'm not very lucky!) catch the intense play of light and shadow through a special form of reliefs of the façade-the fact is that the architect formed composition of pediments of the main and lateral facades using inclined surfaces. Special mention deserves and small polygonal Cubist garden with a fence.
