Enjoy one a magnificent baroque landscaping in The Vrtba Garden, a large garden built on the slope of Petrin Hill in Prague. Made up of Italian-style terraces connected by stairs and supported by curved walls, the garden features many exquisite sculptures of Ceres and Bacchus and elaborate rail guards crafted by some of the best artists of the 18th century Habsburg Prague. A circular pool with a statue of sea monster is surrounded by fine labyrinth topiary and live fences. Interior decorations have been well-preserved with fresco paintings and there is an aviary featuring some rare birds maintained by Prague Zoo. Enjoy views of the city from a tranquil spot. The Vrtba Garden reviews

My favorite Baroque garden in Prague. As beautiful as it is , I must admit that I am partial to anything and everything in the Mala Strana area. I remember coming here, when it was largely unkept..... more »

This hidden gem is really worth the visit! Especially in summer, when it is in full bloom. But try to plan your visit some other day than a Saturday, coz it is very popular wedding venue... more »

Great panoramic views over the city of Budapest. The castle is above you and the little aviary in the garden is interesting more »

What a beautiful, peaceful garden in the middle of tourism, traffic and stress! The entrance is a bit tricky to find: it is right on the main street, next to a live-music bar, a little "tunnel". If you look out for it, you can see some signs at the tunnel. Entrance fee is okay and worth it, a very good location to relax and take a breath after walking around Prague the whole day. Also, you get a written guide in your language with the entrance fee (entrance is around 3-4€). Lovely place!

Beautiful place. A bit small but very well taken care of. There's a beautiful view of the city, including a nice view of the castle. We went there on a Sunday, and the place was mostly empty. This garden is a hidden gem of the city.

Wonderful and the most beautiful garden with the great scene to see the whole Prague. A good place for wedding dress pics or just chill out here 🌺

A beautiful garden hidden behind the buildings. Very good for photoshoots. The entry fee is quite reasonable.
