Enjoy one a magnificent baroque landscaping in The Vrtba Garden, a large garden built on the slope of Petrin Hill in Prague. Made up of Italian-style terraces connected by stairs and supported by curved walls, the garden features many exquisite sculptures of Ceres and Bacchus and elaborate rail guards crafted by some of the best artists of the 18th century Habsburg Prague. A circular pool with a statue of sea monster is surrounded by fine labyrinth topiary and live fences. Interior decorations have been well-preserved with fresco paintings and there is an aviary featuring some rare birds maintained by Prague Zoo. Enjoy views of the city from a tranquil spot. • Very quiet and calming place with nice and clean garden, and several old and interesting statues. Entry is 2 euros, and you get a leaflet with short history, and explanation of statues. There is also a small balcony with a great view on the city. If you are in such calming places, I would fecomend visiting. Its quite small place so the tour can take only 10 minutes, but if you want to take a break from walking around the Prague, and have some time to relax, this will be a great place to go.
  • A breathtaking beautiful gem of a garden that offers outstanding views from the top. As a photographer who works here regularly I belive that this is one of the best locations to experience a truly Baroque garden, its landscaped grounds as well as experience its incredible peaceful views. There is a reason why the Vrtba Garden is highly sought out for clients who plan to marry here as well as have a beautiful background to their images. It is one of the gems that make Prague so special.
  • Very beautiful garden, it's a little hard to find it, but it'a worth the effort. Definitely put it on your bucket list when visiting Prague. There are some fantastic views on the Prague skyline, including the castle and st.Nicholas church.
  • This is classical beauty hidden in a busy street, magical and tranquil, although small, but the terrace landscape is so well planned it makes you feel as if the place is pretty large. The plus is that not many people know the place, and it could be a bit tricky to find it’s door (don’t come from the up hill lane that pass through the Embassy of the US, go via the Main Street down below.
  • Magical place, secretly out of sight in a very busy area.... so make sure you pin it on your maps for direction. Definitely worth a visit. Was a perfect break from the busy city and we really enjoyed the unique views of the city.
