Enjoy one a magnificent baroque landscaping in The Vrtba Garden, a large garden built on the slope of Petrin Hill in Prague. Made up of Italian-style terraces connected by stairs and supported by curved walls, the garden features many exquisite sculptures of Ceres and Bacchus and elaborate rail guards crafted by some of the best artists of the 18th century Habsburg Prague. A circular pool with a statue of sea monster is surrounded by fine labyrinth topiary and live fences. Interior decorations have been well-preserved with fresco paintings and there is an aviary featuring some rare birds maintained by Prague Zoo. Enjoy views of the city from a tranquil spot. • A not very big garden but absolutely wpnderful! A lot of greenery, two tiny fountains with a few colored fish, staues and nice views of the Prague. A piece of paradise!

  • The perfect place for taking very nice pictures of Prague. The garden itself is beautiful and because it lies on an elevated slope, you get an overview of the tiled rooftops of all the buildings around it. No wonder why this is a frequent choice for wedding ceremonies.
  • One of the best gardens I have visited. It also has a breathtaking view! But unfortunately it only takes 20 minutes to go through it all.
  • Italian style garden mixed with distinct Czech style, hidden away in the middle of Prague. Most tourists will miss it but it's definitely worth a visit. It's a hidden gem.
  • A very beautiful garden, which is more than three hundred years old. A great place for a photo shoot and relaxation.
  • Be very careful not to show you have a camera or a phone. They will charge you 1500 CZK / 60€ for entry. There is nothing about this on the website, only when you get there. Scam, scam, scam! Edit: There no mention of such charge on the website. When you arrive there, there also no mention for weddings, only "fotodokumentace" which can be done using any camera - including a phone. Therefore you can be charged the 60€ at any time based on what is written at the entrance. I suggest not to wear white dress, then you should be fine. It's a shame with the scam on the website. If it was written there, I would have come to another place.
