Observatory Museum
Look into the depths of space at Stefanik Observatory. The enthusiastic staff will lead you through a learning journey where you'll take a close-up look at the sun and experiment with different levels of light. While you are there, make sure to experience the meteorite exhibit and inspect the old science equipment on display. If you're coming in a group, give advance notice and the staff can arrange an English-language viewing of a show on the universe. • Amazing experience, staff is very nice, friendly, they speak really good English as well. They are helping everyone to understand and learn new things. First we observed Jupiter on one telescope, then Moon and Jupiter on the 2nd one, then some nebula and stars from Libra constellation on the first one. Really great experience for such low amount of money.
  • Really cool observatory. They had a nice little museum to go with the telescopes. We got to go up on a clear summer night and view some of the planets as well as the moon. Check it out if you can.
  • Fantastic experience! Witness the opening and turning of an 8 tonne dome. During the day, look at the sun and its sun spots or spy on the people at Petrin tower! During the night, observe the stars and the planets! Enthusiastic tour guides with good english and great value! A must-see in Prague!
  • Great exhibitions, very enthusiastic and passionate staff, we went through the day and saw the moon and the sun through the telescopes.
  • A perfect place to get in touch with astronomy and physics. A great exhibition and a few hands-on experiments. The friendly guides are happy to answer all questions which may arise.

Where to stay in Prague

As one of Europe’s main tourist destinations, Prague offers a selection of accommodations to match its popularity, from luxury hotels to very affordable hostels. For an authentic Prague experience, stay at one of the guesthouses or boutique hotels housed inside the city's historical buildings. You'll find many lodgings concentrated around the most popular sightseeing areas, such as the Old Town, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, but there are also a good number of them in other neighborhoods. The best way to make Prague feel like home is to rent a fully furnished apartment.
