  • This is a small shop and can be missed easily if one is not observant but is located in a delightful spot some distance from Prague Castle The toys are traditional representing the Czech republic. Fro...  more »
  • Loved this toy shop. Everything was different, much of it made of wood. The owner was so helpful and we bought some of the lovely little musical matchboxes. Really worth a trip  more »
  • Stumbled upon this store that immediately attracted with the hobbyhorse of the sign. Inside wooden and Tin toys, some of which I hadn't seen since my childhood in the early 1980s. The girl at the counter speaks English, is friendly and informed-I asked the cartoon of the tiny mole and the devil/Krampus that I purchased for my collection. A small chest of toys they do return all children. Good prices for things on display.

  • Wonderful shop of antique tin and wood toys and drawing material. The owner is a charming man who knows the story behind each article and with whom you can talk for hours...
  • I sought this store out while in Prague because of the online reviews, which indicated I would be able to find olde fashioned toys for my children. I was not disappointed. The store space is small but densely stocked with toys into which a lot of care has clearly been taken to select all the items with such limited room for display. The shopkeeper was knowledgeable and helpful when asked for assistance, but not pushy or in a hurry to make a sale. I like this in a store. The hard thing was making choices for what toys to get to fit in my very limited luggage space. The prices were reasonable and the number of antique style wind-up toys made entirely out of metal is impressive. The quality level is high. Lots of high quality wooden toys, too. Very little, if anything, made of plastic. Lots of 'Pauli', the mole well-known from ca. 1960s Czeck animations. I ended up with quite a lot of things. The shopkeeper took her time, unpacking and testing each wind-up toy and showing me the wind-up key was included in the box. She was so nice. I did not know it until I got back to my hotel room, but she had also included illustrated paper gift sack in which each toy could be presented. It was like an extra special touch that made me love the place even more. I wish we had a shop like this where I live. I would be there every birthday and Christmas for my children. Instead, I had to stock up for the coming year! Highly recommend this store if you like vintage toys.
  • A magical place. The shop owner was so patient and welcoming. He told us stories behind the toys and even showed us how to use them. This shop is a jem. The prices are very reasonable but of great quality. Everything was so cute and I wanted to buy them all... :P they are really special souvenirs with stories behind each of them.
  • The most memorable part of my Prague experience. Shop owner was so excited and passionate about toys and I genuinely fell in love with all the unique toys he sold and cared for. Highly recommended. Beautiful shop and the most inspiring owner ☺
  • If you expect ToysЯus, then this is not that place. This small place is the real authentic czech toy shop with hand made toys like they have been made for cenuties. It also has some simpler today staff but it's definetly does not interfere with the experience. I dare to think that I met the owner there, and he was so nice and welcoming! Very pleasant place, don't miss.

Where to stay in Prague

As one of Europe’s main tourist destinations, Prague offers a selection of accommodations to match its popularity, from luxury hotels to very affordable hostels. For an authentic Prague experience, stay at one of the guesthouses or boutique hotels housed inside the city's historical buildings. You'll find many lodgings concentrated around the most popular sightseeing areas, such as the Old Town, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, but there are also a good number of them in other neighborhoods. The best way to make Prague feel like home is to rent a fully furnished apartment.
