For a little Czech-flavored taste of Paris, visit Petrinska rozhledna, dominating the surrounding area from its location high above the Vltava River. Built in 1891, this 63 m (206 ft) tall steel structure is a scaled-down copy of Paris' Eiffel Tower. The structure features 299 steps, which run on the inside of the tower and lead to two separate observation platforms. After decades of service as a transmission tower, massive renovations in 1999 turned the structure into a tourist attraction, adding a small cafe, gift shop, and exhibit area to its lower levels. Pay the small fee to access the tower's observation platforms, offering unbeatable views of the entire city. Petrinska rozhledna Reviews
Du får veldig fin utsikt utover byen. Tårnet er omgitt av en fin park med muligheter for mat og drikke. more »You get very nice view over the city. The tower is surrounded by a nice park with opportunities for food and drink.
If you want to get the most "extreme" experience while visiting the Petrin tower, buy a ticket for the steps (150CZK) rather than for the lift (210CZK). Climbing the tower is a fascinating adventure e... more »
We followed a meandered steep slope, climbed a rough forest to arrive this tower. It's nothing like the original Eiffel tower in Paris. One leg of the original one is bigger than the whole tower here ... more »
I really enjoyed the view from the Petrin Tower. It was only 150Kc to gain access to the top. Very over crowded, but definitely worth it for the spectacular view you get of Prague. The best way to make it to the top of Petrin Hill is by the cable car. Just purchase a ticket inside the office, and make your way to the top. It was only 32Kc. You could try and walk it, but it would take twice as much effort. Much easier just to take the cable car. There are beautiful gardens at the top of the hill too, I would suggest walking back down to street level, and exploring everything there is to see.
I am not really impressed with the tower itself. The city view from the tower is good. It is located in a nice surrounding with a good view of the city. It is said to be a copy of Eiffel tower but I was surprised to not see similarity with the original. Its not beautiful and impressive as the original. You have to pay to get to the top and extra to take the lift. Recommendation: I would keep it towards the bottom of my list
A true 'must' if visiting Prague. It offers a amazing 360 degree view over entire Prague, at a great height. Experienced with the good old spiral stairs which can be physically demanding and challenging for everyone who has vertigo issues. Please notice that ticket office does not accept EUR currency or any type of bank cards: you need to withdraw local currency from a onsite ATM machine. At the end it was a amazing experience!
There's a charge to go up. There's an extra charge to use an elevator. The line for an elevator moves slow as it can only fit few people and It's very hot and stuffy inside of it. The views of the city are good, but it's far away. There are better viewpoints within old city. It's something to do when in the area. But don't make a trip here just for the tower.
An overall enjoyable experience except for getting on the tram. You need the exact change in coins or use a card to buy a ticket.A little chaotic as everybody were swapping small denominations of money to buy a ticket. But after that ordeal it was a great experience beautiful views as you go up. The tower itself is spectacular although I didn't go up just watched the youngsters enjoying themselves.
