On a clear day, Petřín offers sweeping views of Prague and beyond. Rising some 130 m (420 ft) above the left bank of the Vltava River, the hill is one of the city's most popular recreational areas for both visitors and natives. The hill's dominant feature is a 62 m (200 ft) high lookout tower, inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Although you can scramble up the hill on foot, the easiest way to access the top is by a century-old funicular railway. Once there, you can climb the lookout tower's 299 steps for a small fee, or picnic in the park for free. Tour sur un colline surplombant la ville, mais attention si jamais le funiculaire ne fonctionne pas, tenter un aller retour à pied est un épreuve sportive ! Les chemins sont très raides et mal indiqué... more »
Tower on a hill overlooking the city, but be careful if ever the funicular does not work, try a round trip walk is a sporting event! The roads are very steep and badly indicated (the descent into the dark of the night is a fun experience, the lighting of paths is pretty sketchy) Tower in it even worth the ascent by lift (60krc memory supplement), worth (very old lift of all metal load with platform screen doors like those of the bunker)View original -
Stunning views across the whole of Prague. Well worth the climb up the many steps. Would recommend getting the fenicular up the hill and walk down through the lovely park more »

Prachtig uitzicht over de stad Praag. Voor 120 Czk entree. Wil je met de lift 60 Czk extra. De moeite echt waard, je moet geen hoogtevrees hebben en je voelt de toren wel een beetje bewegen. more »
Beautiful view of the city of Prague. 120 Czk for entrance. Would you like with the elevator 60 Czk extra. Really worth the trouble, you should have no fear of heights and you feel the Tower move quite a bit.View original

This tower is on the top of the Petrin hill. It provides really good top views of the Prague city. Do visit it at night. It is usually open until 10 pm. The night view of Prague is really beautiful.

The Petrin is Prague's smaller version of the Eiffel tower. It's located on a hill in a beautiful little park near to the city center. You could take a funicular to the park, which is quite fun. The view over the city, the Prague Castle and the Moldova is spectacular, don't miss it! It's worth to climb all the stairs!

Total disappoitment, cableway is out of service, park is reconstructed, you cant pay by card and ATM is also out of service... you have to pay entrance fee 150 Kčs and if you want to use lift there you have to pay another fee 60 Kčs (?!) I dont recommend you petrin, it is a waste of time

What a lovely park. The walk was beautiful and there was always something to look at. The old walls that still surround it are super cool. If you are interested in nature and history then go. The tower was a good walk to then up it but the view was incomparable to any other view in Prague

Awesome point. Alot of stuff to do for kids and adults as well. Rose garden is really beautiful have every color of rose. I will recommend to not try going up to the tower in the morning its too crowded as people prefer to visit this point in the morning .
