  • Memorial at the location of the Assassination of Reingard Heydrich. Simple yet informative.
  • Greatest WWII story ever told. Czech (and Allied) heros. Definitely worth the visit
  • I didn't know this memorial existed until I'd visited the museum at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church. I took the metro to Palmovka then walked using Google maps.. bit of a trek but there is a bus you can take. The monument is well and truly in the middle of busy highways. There's a subway with steps and ramp you can take to get to the monument.
  • A must see place when in prague
  • Place of assassination of nominally the then Deputy Protector of Bohemia and Moravia and the main Reich Security Office boss. In addition to the adoption of a clearer course against the Czechs was also in this period, responsible for the Organization of the Wannsee Conference and the preparation of the implementation of the "final solution to the Jewish question". Many historians believe that the assassination was an attempt to show at all costs by the Czechoslovak Government in exile, that the people of the Czech Republic does not have come with occupation and puts real resistance. Many historians also draws attention to the inadequate preparation of the backend of the bombers. The consequence of the assassination was actually the total liquidation of the Czech resistance movement. Terror, which unleashed the successor Heidricha Czech historians call the second Heidrichadą. Due to the treachery of one of the paratroopers-Karla Curdy-Germany agreed the place of hiding of the participants in the coup and other members of the Group of paratroopers in the Orthodox Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Prague. Occupation forces surrounded the Church, and the paratroopers with no possibility of escape, after nearly a day's fight and running out of ammunition took own life (Kubisz wounded from grenade died en route to the hospital). Germany executed them or sent to concentration camps all whom they suspected of any help survived and the participation in the Czech resistance movement. The symbol of terror is a village Lidice that was sacked, and its inhabitants killed off or sent to camps (part of small children was dedicated to Germanization). The inhabitants of this village had nothing to do with the assassination, in contrast to the inhabitants of the village of lounge chairs, where she was a radio station and paratroopers were hiding. There is also a public responsibility is applied not by taking the assessment, who specifically gave refuge. Historians believe that the repression suffered by about 7000 people.
