Old Town Bridge Tower, Prague

(4.6/5 based on 750 reviews on the web)
Walk the "royal way" under the triumphal arch of Old Town Bridge Tower, just like ancient Bohemian kings did on their way to coronation. Schwabian architect Peter Parler designed the tower as part of city's fortifications in the 14th century. Climb 138 stairs to an observation room to look out over the old town. Above the arch, on the coats of arms, you'll notice a black eagle on a golden background and a silver two-tailed lion on a red background. The three statues above the coats of arms represent two Bohemian kings, Charles IV and Wenceslas IV, and the patron saint of Bohemia, St. Vitus. • The ticket isn't very expensive (there's also a student discount) and the climb isn't too difficult - you have to get into the tower and climb up one floor to get the tickets. The top floor is the roo...  more »
  • This is one of the iconic landmarks of Prague. Prominent and give a lovely view of this part of old town with the quaint outlook. Worth visiting any time of the day
  • Well priced with great views! If you are in the area really worth the money to see Charles Bridge from above!

  • Lo mejor de Praga
  • I am a student but they made me pay the full ticket even if I gave them my student card, because it was 2014/2015 and now I am on second year. The panorama is great but not worth the price, is much better the other tower. The museum is ridiculous, with objects found in the river (like cameras, trash, tires and other nonsense). Do not lose time here
  • The point where visitors enters into the Old Town. It is also a very eye-catching landmark and monument of the city.
  • One of many iconic places of Prague. Enjoy castle view and big crowd of touristits. Also, beware of pickpockets
  • Easy to miss, but worth the detour. The museum itself isn't so impressive, but the views from the top are worth the cost.
