Old Town Bridge Tower, Prague
(4.6/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Walk the "royal way" under the triumphal arch of Old Town Bridge Tower, just like ancient Bohemian kings did on their way to coronation. Schwabian architect Peter Parler designed the tower as part of city's fortifications in the 14th century. Climb 138 stairs to an observation room to look out over the old town. Above the arch, on the coats of arms, you'll notice a black eagle on a golden background and a silver two-tailed lion on a red background. The three statues above the coats of arms represent two Bohemian kings, Charles IV and Wenceslas IV, and the patron saint of Bohemia, St. Vitus. Make Old Town Bridge Tower a centerpiece of your Prague vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Prague travel itinerary planner.

  • Not as magnificent as Charles Bridge, my favorite, but still a nice one. It provides a nice view of the city as well.
  • Walk across the bridge is an unforgettable attraction especially at sunset. Also walk under the bridge is very nice. Has several tour boats; many padlocks locked up on the bridge; Many cafés, plus a wonderful visual.

  • Not to be missed: the crossing of the bridge, appreciating the gates and statues. Well day and night for a complete experience.

  • Lo mejor de Praga
  • I am a student but they made me pay the full ticket even if I gave them my student card, because it was 2014/2015 and now I am on second year. The panorama is great but not worth the price, is much better the other tower. The museum is ridiculous, with objects found in the river (like cameras, trash, tires and other nonsense). Do not lose time here
  • The point where visitors enters into the Old Town. It is also a very eye-catching landmark and monument of the city.
  • One of many iconic places of Prague. Enjoy castle view and big crowd of touristits. Also, beware of pickpockets
  • Easy to miss, but worth the detour. The museum itself isn't so impressive, but the views from the top are worth the cost.
