  • Thanks to some college studies, I know more Czech history than most Americans, and that context was helpful here: the permanent exhibits told a rather fragmented story of 20th century history rather a...  more »

  • Simply beautiful! This memorial hill trumps any other memorial I know. It's a whole climb up but it is definitely worth your effort! The building is a beautiful example of 60s architecture and the view from the top of the building is amazing! If you're in Prague you cannot miss this!
  • je to tu obrovske s krasnym a upravenym parkom
  • A really beautiful location. Worth a visit, but try to follow the footpath which starts behind hlavni nadrazi.
  • Interesting, recently renovated, building with a bit troubled history, but definitely worth visiting. Just the view from the rooftop will justify your time getting there and modest admission. I would rate their modern Czechoslovak history exhibit so-so, but it might be just me. BTW, this is the place where they used to display embalmed body of the first communist president Klement Gottwald in late fifties. You can find a small exhibit about the context of this weird part of the Czech history in the underground laboratory.
  • Awesome views and usually not very busy. Great place to hang out and have a picnic or some drinks
