  • During our visit in Prague we visited also this museum which is based on the movie maker Karel Zeman professional work and his life. Worth to go and see!
  • On eventually finding the museum it proved to be a fascinating journey through the surreal imagination behind Zeman's extraordinary and eccentric films (which are on sale on DVD at the museum and high...  more »
  • We enjoyed it even without children:) Tasteful interactive museum where interesting to spend a few hours, although it is not too big. We used the cheaper tickets for a cruise on the Vltava River. The US certainly livened up a winter trip around Prague, something we learned while rest uchozeným feet.

  • An amazing museum dedicated to the genius of Karel Zeman, a true pioneer of cinema and special effects. The museum uses movies, props and visual settings to communicate the great achievements of his creations. The interactive parts of the museum make this a great experience for both children and children in heart, with a lot of fun buttons to push and photo opportunities. As Terry Gillian says in the closing movie, more people should know about Zeman, so they can see how much he affected modern cinema. I would recommend this museum to everyone who loves movies!
  • Beautiful little museum/exposition about an icon in czech animation and cinema. We spent a very long time there looking at the examples, it was intriguing. Respect to the makers of this. The soundtrack of the group "clarinet factory" added well to the atmosphere. If you are interested in czech stop-motion animation and matte effects in film, then go there!
  • Amazing museum for who loves movies and wants to know more about effects in the past.
  • This is unique place showing the roots of special film effects. Karel Zeman has set the foundations of movie making. His work has inspired film giants such as Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The famous movies by Zeman are just digitally renewed and reconstructed. 2015 was released "Invention For Destruction" (Vynález zkázy, orig. 1958), just recently at May 2016 was released "Baron Munchausen" (Baron Prášil, orig. 1961), and at 2017 release of "The Journey To Beginning Of Time" (Cesta do pravěku, orig. 1955).
  • Lovely museum with famous Karel Zeman films! Bit short but won't be disappointed.
