(240+ reviews on the web)
Landmark Tourist Spot
Originally intended to help defend Prague Castle and Mala Strana against attack, Hunger Wall stretches through Petrin Park from Strahov to Ujezd. It was built between 1360 and 1362 on the orders of Charles IV in a time of severe famine. Enjoy a stroll through the park along the length of the mighty wall, and admire the strength and history of this ancient fortification. The construction work helped provide a livelihood for the some of the city's poorest residents, hence the structure's unusual name. It underwent repairs in the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries. • You will pass by this easily if you are on your way to Petrin hill. If not, there's not a lot of point to come here. They really hate the communist.
  • this place is definitely worth visiting! less crowded than other tourist spots in prague, however, equally interesting!
  • This wall has a long history behind it, but nowadays it separates gardens and Petrin from the town.
  • Nice park
