Franz Kafka Monument, Prague

(55+ reviews on the web)
Historic Site Specialty Museum
Franz Kafka Monument celebrates the influential 20th-century writer on the site where he was born. Although the original building has been torn down, a bust marks the spot where the author was born. Through texts and photographs, the exhibit pieces together a timeline of the author's life for those wishing to learn more on a visit to the city that influenced so much of his writing. As Kafka was Jewish, the museum also addresses Jewish life in the capital. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Franz Kafka Monument by using our Prague itinerary maker.

  • This momument was on my must see in Prague list because I like Franz Kafka works. Beside, it is a perceft example of modern monument and it is so kafkaesque. Love it.  more »

  • Incredible the way this statue has been envisioned and constructed. The details are amazingly accurate. The face is much more identifiable with all the intricate details on a camera lens than seeing in real. Not very crowded here at all when we went unlike one would imagine.
  • Great piece of art. If you have a little time I would definitely recommend getting a spot with a good angle and recording it on Time-lapse for the whole sequence. Play it back and you will see why
  • Super cool monument to a wonderful writer. It constantly moves into Kafka-esque formations. Very worth a stop while in Praha.
