#9 of 24 in Parks in Prague
Divoká Šárka is a nature reserve on the northwestern outskirts of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. It contains a gorge. It is named after the female warrior Šárka, who, according to mythology, threw herself to her death from its cliffs after betraying her lover Ctirad during the Maidens' War.It is the closest site to the city where the black woodpecker lives. There is a lake Džbán on the border of the Divoká Šárka reserve area and a public swimming pool located in the middle of the reserver. The water of the pool is supplied by clean and fresh water from the Šárka spring creek that passes through the park and the lake.Photo

Very cool place. Park with narrow paths and changing landscape. Cliff Creek, Oaks, needles. Lakeside beach. 2 swimming pool just on the other side. Entrance to the pools 100 CZK per day. Is where drink and eat. Inexpensive. Take that lie. Trestle not. to the Park goes green subway line. Go to "Nádraží Veleslavin". And to end on 20 or 26. Further follow people.

A very nice place where you can find everything. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Of course fresh air with planes overhead. Here and there you will meet people with top optics at a photo shoot of nature. No one's really shoot you fucking pair of which fresh air downright testifies. So for šmíráky a great place. It is recommended that 20 out of ten šmíráků.

Nice park. Far away from the center. Could use drinking fountains and toilets though. I didn't see any.

Nice park with lots to offer. Go swimming in the lake or the pool or just hike around. Easily accessible by public transit and worth a visit.

Where to stay in Prague

As one of Europe’s main tourist destinations, Prague offers a selection of accommodations to match its popularity, from luxury hotels to very affordable hostels. For an authentic Prague experience, stay at one of the guesthouses or boutique hotels housed inside the city's historical buildings. You'll find many lodgings concentrated around the most popular sightseeing areas, such as the Old Town, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, but there are also a good number of them in other neighborhoods. The best way to make Prague feel like home is to rent a fully furnished apartment.
