  • We found this place through trip advisor and I can honestly say it is a great place to visit. A little bit out of the way but easily accessed by public transport. The museum had a lot of very interest...  more »
  • It's a great museum where can you see a lot of stuff from World War 1 and 2. Very interesting for kids, who learn in school about that.
  • The Army Museum Žižkov is located in the historical building of the Memorial object liberation in Prague-žižkov. Access to the Museum is not demanding. The Museum is located not far from ÚAN Florenc bus station. Entry to the Museum is free of charge. The whole Museum occupies a total of 4 rooms + upper foyer of the Museum and is clearly and chronologically structured. We can visit the halls here, dealing with the period of the first World War (1914-1918), Nová period (1918-1939), World War II (1939-1945) and then there is the Hall, which is dedicated to the period after February 1948, and then protikomunistickému to the resistance. There a lot of historical weapons (cold and arms), medals, orders, decorations, and other interesting exhibits. The whole Museum's visitor can view at your own pace, there is therefore a guide. After visiting the Museum I made a clear picture about how hard life was in the time of war as for the soldiers themselves, as well as for the common people. Visit to the Museum can highly recommend and definitely a man here learns many interesting and new information. After a visit to this Museum, I would still recommend to visit the National Memorial on Vitkov, which is from the Museum so 5 to 10-minute walk away.
