Army Museum Zizkov, Prague
(4.5/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
At Army Museum Zizkov, learn about the anticommunist resistance, the history of the Czechoslovak army between 1918 and 1939, and the persecution of the Czechoslovak soldiers after the coup in February 1948. The museum houses a large collection of military equipment and artifacts, including weapons, uniforms, banners, and the personal memorabilia of Czechoslovak presidents and leading army representatives. A section of the museum maps the period of World War II and the Czech resistance movement during the war. Discover how the assassination of German SS general Reinhard Heydrich played a major part in the Czech World War II history. The army isn't the only branch of the military represented here. You also can explore the Air Museum Kbely and Military Technical Museum Lešany. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Army Museum Zizkov by using our Prague itinerary builder.

  • The bad news is that you only get one tank, at the entrance, but the rest of the museum makes up for it. Some of the best European WWI display items apart from Belgium's museum. Fuselage of a German f...  more »
  • Fanatic place if you like military history with lots of items and info from WW2 , WW1 and other conflicts ...it's a big museum & well laid out . It's also free .
  • Museum a bit away from the Centre but it's definitely worth the visit! we walked from the Center up to Wenceslas square in the direction of the station (use the underpass to cross the road, the road has several lanes and is dangerous) direction zizkov. Free Museum, at the entrance greeted a man very kind and thoughtful to pass on their knowledge about it. Museum full of artifacts of war eras such as weapons, uniforms etc. Go!
