  • Olomouc is thanks to its rich history of rarely preserved set of architectural, artistic and archaeological sites. From 2010, however, it has other tourist attraction, where history counts for just a decade or so. It is a Museum of historic vehicles Veteran Arena, one of the largest, private, publicly accessible museums of its kind in the Czech Republic. From the road to Llandovery to reach you to the arena of the pointer. Before the arena's parking lot. Their slogan "3-for-1 admission to the exhibition" suggests that the admission is not exactly cheap. (basic-$ 149, discounted to $95). Charged is the photography. In addition to the 90 cars, 30 motorcycles and other exhibits related to the history of the motorizmu, the visitor can see across a number of historical phones from the period 1890-1980 and historical radio receivers and turntables from the USA and Europe. In the Czech Republic we have several important museums of historic vehicles (eg. Tatra, Skoda, Harsh), but there is not such a comprehensive show cars of the former company Wikov from prostějov, which in the years 1925-1940, the company produced about 800 cars aimed in particular to richer clientele (that's why they sometimes called the "Czechoslovak Rolls-Royce"). Worldwide, only about 50 pieces and cars of this brand are now highly prized among collectors. A large number of exhibits consists of cars Tatra – from pre-war through to the most recent Government Tatra 700. Among them are the actual objects such as. sports cars Tatra, Tatra 75 17 Sport Sport Bohemia or Tatra 87 from 1940. The exhibits are laid out on two floors, are well nasvíceny, only those labels are in small print. Gentleman watches the exhibits, is able to provide professional information about the exhibits. The oldest exhibit is operation able Wikov prototype model 16/4 from 1924. Museum and other interesting features of the exhibit as it is one of the first aerodynamic models in the world sports Wikov 35 Drop from 1931 or model Wikov 35 1932 that was already equipped with a steering wheel on the left side. In addition to sports cars and limousines are also exposed to various commercial vehicles such as ambulance, military Tatra and more. Wouldn't it be a good collection of vintage cars, if there were missing cars famous personalities such as. Praga Grand Jana Masaryka or family car of the composer Janáček and others. Visiting the Museum I recommend is also suitable for children. The Museum is open from April to November on Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
