  • Great monastery at the exit of the city on a hill. On arrival, we have a great impression of dilapidated not maintained. By entering, you can see that part of the building has been renovated. The Church was completely renovated in 2009 and is like new; beautiful restoration. Possibility to visit the Church and part of the monastery. French Tour booklet, which is much appreciated! Prohibition to take pictures indoors, except in the Church. It's worth stopping to visit in 1 hour. Possibility to eat and have a drink on the spot.

  • Monastery Kladruby (in silver) is an amazing area. But it is dominated by a huge, black church, the third largest in the US, built in the first half of the 18. century according to a design by Jan Santini-Czech Baptists. So as all the work here as well as Santini's precision demonstration called. the Baroque Gothic style, with a lot of mystical and religious references, and "zakletími" in shape, decoration, material, just the same ingenious gadgets, when with a little sensitivity can enjoy references to Baroque and impressive Gothic Central axiality vertikalitu, vistas, views, views ... Sometimes it is good to deeply lean back and stare into the vaults and spires and statues, altar, organ, or again under the feet on the pavement and the floor, etc. etc. And to think with your heart. Definitely worth a mention. new Abbey from Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer, a beautiful building at the height of the Baroque period, the axis with magnificent frescoes in the Interior, gradually odhalovanými and restored under the plaster. It is all part of the tour, which lasts a little over an hour, but is a great guide, we were lucky, it is also extremely funny. I think that is good in this regard commended the National Heritage Institute, how about this monastery, discontinuing I Joseph II., at least since 1990. Part of the tour but is not a path around the church-you will drop out of the Church and the Abbey, don't forget to have a look on the façade of the temple. Santini would certainly forgive you, because it's a rebound of the sky there is a wordless and captivating ... And only at the end of Appendix-13 km from Silver-pull over there. Square is dominated by and dominated by the famous graffito full large town hall, but the square is interesting and engagingly cultured with a beautifully renovated and drive the plague column and the "wall"-not wailing, but remarkably pertinent to the City Museum of history ...

  • Santini's Church of the assumption is wonderful, but is seen as on the rest of the monastery that could use a lot of repairs, which, although slowly, but are owned by the State shall not deny

  • It was a good idea to stop there from the moment we stepped in the courtyard. What had surprised me was that everything was deserted like and no soul to be seen. The restaurant was closed, the souvenir shop also. The surrounding buildings are not in shape, but the monastery will take your breath away. I say for a few tens of minutes and just grasped the pleasent wind and playful clouds at the monastery entrance. We took a peak through the keyhole inside and saw a lady that was cleaning the place. All doors were closed and we could not enter. A gentleman was seen, but he was too busy using the phone to talk to us. He just said know to my question if we can enter the edifice. Too bad. I feel sorry for his attitude. Overall, the feeling and the experience is very nice, but it is regrettable that one of the biggest monasteries in Czech Republic is just deserted like this. I mean, I would have definitely have spent some of my hard reserved cash for something I the shop and for certain in the restaurant. I recommend!
  • One of the biggest monasteries in the Czech Republic. Very beautiful architecture and great views inside and out. They did not offer an English tour during my visit but did give me a book with everything written in English. Tour seemed quite boring but the views were amazing. They also have a restaraunt on location.
  • Pretty castle. We we're looking for a place to stop on our way to Munich to let our son get out and stretch. You can't get inside without a tour, which is only at certain times. We just walked around (actually went behind the castle and got to the dead end and had to turn around). Didn't get inside. There is free parking and a lake next to the parking (across the road). Tour is 7 Euro for foreigners.
  • Really beautiful monastery. With awsome altar. Well preserved interior. U ll feel atmosphere from medieval times.
  • Amazing monastery which consits of Santini's church and Dientzenhofer's New monastery.
