Jan Becher Muzeum, Karlovy Vary

(4/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Taste the most famous Czech herbal liqueur and find out more about its history at Jan Becher Muzeum. In 1807, Jan Becher put together a secret recipe for the bittersweet liqueur, which is made from Karlsbad water and a mixture of local herbs and spices. Guided tours include a visit to the distillery and original cellars, time to view historical objects associated with the liqueur, and a tasting of Becherovka. See the Becher pipeline that connected the individual cellars, ancient barrels, and period bottles adorned with labels that have yellowed with age. Make Jan Becher Muzeum a centerpiece of your Karlovy Vary vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Karlovy Vary trip builder.

  • Too fast; not time nor to see everything - and there is not much--or to ask questions. It's tourism and commerce.

  • Karlovy Vary Becherovka =. An interesting Museum, a pleasant surprise. Interesting, up to the PR, but the interpretation not as imposing. the excursion ends with tasting of three kinds of Becherovka, so leave your car at the hotel:))), definitely worth a visit.

  • Located next to the market place. you can go for common development. Immediately there is a bar where you can warm up tasting.

  • Cute, aromatic, tasting provided, a fun and easy to follow documentary to watch at the end. Really small though. Definitely worth a visit.
  • Was very nice but unfortunately a bit short. The leadership itself has lasted only 15 minutes. You could see some things in the connection independently. Then was the tasting of 3 products, during a short film. It is interesting in any case and at a price of 120 crowns (about 5 euros), you can not complain.
