Adrspach-Teplice Rocks, Hradec Kralove Region

The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are an unusual set of sandstone formations covering 17 km2 in northeastern Bohemia, Czech Republic. They are named after two nearby municipalities: Adršpach, and Teplice nad Metují.The site was apparently a regional destination during the 19th and early 20th century, as attested by the varied language of stone inscriptions on the site, and surviving postcards. The rocks have been protected as a national nature reserve since 1933, and since 1991 the whole adjacent region of Broumovsko has enjoyed the status of protected landscape area. Tourists may visit the rocks via a number of marked trails. The area is a popular destination for rock climbers. In recent years, it has become a focus for the high-risk climbing-related sport of rock jumping. The area is also one of the largest permanent breeding sites of peregrine falcon in Europe, as they are protected here under federal law. Some areas have been designated off limits to climbers and hikers to make sure the birds aren't disturbed.Images

  • Rock town in the Ardspach we visited on the way back from Prague to Polish. Definitely was worth it nadłożyć way! Stunning landscapes, quite challenging route that only at the beginning is mild. I do not recommend to families with small children, and especially with cars. Admission cost 200CZK (25 PLN) per person, you can pay by card (sorry złotówkami). Nearby are the true, bureaux de change, but the rate is negative so that it is better to pay by credit card. Pay car park 100, or 20 PLN (generally throughout the property, in many places catering, you can pay in u.s. dollars and are valid just this course, so it's better to have the Czech currency). The toilet is paid, but the left is the pub from Czech cuisine and you can use free of charge. Food also have good prices and tasty (e.g. beef in cream sauce, bread dumplings and cranberries 120CZK, or £ 21). As for the same route of nature: on the input you get a map with marked three routes. First the shortest leads around the picturesque Lakes, Emerald water, which is located right at the entrance. Another route is green, initially quite mild, later passing through in a more difficult trail (a lot of zejsć and climbing the steep stairs). Then the yellow route, on which it is possible to take advantage of a short trip on the Lake (50CZK, duration approx. 10-15 min). A place full of beautiful rock formations, beautiful nature, with its microclimate. The transition of the whole is even > 3 h and, unfortunately, along the way, there are no toilets.

  • Beautiful views, great trip, be sure to popływajcie boat! I've included current prices: 100 Kc, parking 80 Kc, a boat 50 Kc. Register you for hours. 9.30 am later no longer have what to look for! There are so many cars, so many people, with a trip here might not be pleasant. I recommend with all my heart!

  • Absolutely wonderful and magical place! Great for a family trip. Route is quite challenging but not too challenging, and very interesting.
  • It's a very unique kind of tourist attraction in CZ. The small boat ride is fun. This place amazing for group tours and students group. The shops outside the park are very expensive, so it's better to pack a sandwich, water, snacks. It might take half a day to go around this beautiful place and relax. Best time to visit is summer :)
  • Never stops to amaze. Go there off peak (evening is the best) to fully enjoy. Perfect for the full day hike. Wonderful swimming in the VERY clean lake at the end.
  • Great place to visit. Amazing landscapes. Easy paths, but with many attractions. And of corse - great Czech People. Greetings from Poland and thanks for nice weekend not far from abroad :)
  • Very nice place but crowded. There is a place where you can exchange money (kantor). Parking is about 100KC. Recomended not to go during holidays or longer weekends.
