Historic Center of Cesky Krumlov, Cesky Krumlov

(3,000+ reviews on the web)
Historic Walking Area Tourist Spot
A well-preserved example of a small central European medieval town, walkable Historic Center of Cesky Krumlov is one of the country's major tourist attractions, designated as a World Heritage Site. Hugging the banks of the Vltava River, the town spreads around a 13th-century castle that's famous for combining the finest elements of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture. Neglected for many years during the Communist era, the town's rich architectural heritage received a much-needed facelift through a series of major restoration projects over the last two decades. The exquisitely restored old buildings lining the historical center's narrow streets now house trendy restaurants and classy hotels, augmenting the town's fairytale atmosphere with tourist-geared modern amenities. • City that still retains its medieval traces, beautiful charming, is 3 hours by bus from Prague, recommends one-day visit, overnights I think just worth in summer in cold months the city has no nightlife. By Regiojet, bus company that connects Prague Krumlov in 3 hours, bus with on board service, coffee, hot chocoloate and multimedia system there is another bus company that also makes this course but I think the difference if price doesn't compensate. Cesky Krumlov this spiked virtually around the river that almost completely surrounds doing an "s" between the city and the Castle, which has your free entry for visitors. Amid the ancient contruçõea and souvenir shops and local restaurants its alleys are a discovered around every corner. A 5-hour visit in the city I believe is enough. As commented only on hot days and nights drag Pack the streets of stones is not very easy task.
