Castle Historic Site
Dominating the surrounding city from its location on a high rock promontory, Cesky Krumlov Castle is a medieval complex of about 40 buildings, situated around five courtyards and a vast park. Dating back to the middle of the 13th century, the complex covers a total area of about 7 hectares (17 acres). The castle's atmospheric storerooms house a collection of stone statues and sacred art, accrued over the centuries by the city's many rulers. You can stroll through the grounds on your own, but access to some of the interior sections is by guided tour only. Check the website for opening hours and available tour options before you make the trip. • A beautiful castle and even more beautiful garden. Located in the gardens, fountain and the revolving auditorium. In the rear part of the garden pond with lots of water lilies. From the Castle Tower you have amazing views. If you go out the back gate and heading across the forest you will find hidden desolate Castle.

  • As a rose is the Castle, beautiful look it it where you look it, from their yards or from any street of the village, and the views of this towards the village, its Tower is an outrage!! It seems that there it didn't take the time... do not see just what Spanish language does not want it to, several tours with guide, self-guided and own museums there are descriptions of the rooms in multiple languages except the Spanish.

  • Very impressive castle in a beautiful setting. The numerous views of the old town from various vantage points are truly stunning. We went on the English Tour I. Our guide, Oli, was fantastic. She spoke in a loud clear voice, had a disarming sense of humor, and was very knowledgeable about the castle and it's history. She encouraged questions and was able to answer every one. This was one of the best tours I've ever been on.
  • A picturesque UNESCO listed ancient town with great viewpoint from the tower. Such a beautiful place to visit. Nice hikes around the old town and the hills up to the castle. It was sunny in the afternoon we were there.
  • The castle is stunning - from afar and up close. It's beautifully built and well-maintained and it's easy to see why it has become so popular. I have two concerns, though. The first is about the pricing - different parts of the castle are accessible with different guided tours. I feel like each one is too expensive but if you wanted to go on more than one it would be far too much. Secondly, the bears being kept captive in the moat seems really cruel and ruins the experience. I understand there is heritage to them being there, but I think it's time to accept that modern standards do not approve of this!
  • The best place in this town!!!! Especially you should go up observation and look down beautiful town with river. I bet you will fall in love with this town!! Ticket 50
  • Even though it was snowing, I never felt more alive. Definitely seized my attention and heart.
