Dominating the surrounding city from its location on a high rock promontory, Cesky Krumlov Castle is a medieval complex of about 40 buildings, situated around five courtyards and a vast park. Dating back to the middle of the 13th century, the complex covers a total area of about 7 hectares (17 acres). The castle's atmospheric storerooms house a collection of stone statues and sacred art, accrued over the centuries by the city's many rulers. You can stroll through the grounds on your own, but access to some of the interior sections is by guided tour only. • To Český Krumlov we go every year. And every year we go on a tour of the Castle, it's not, and there are several sightseeing routes. Just as we like the vast castle garden and the surrounding area. In the Park you will also find a theatre with the revolving auditorium, whose performances are very impressive.

  • Beautiful medieval town and castle; an island of tranquility in a lovely river bend. There's a reason why it's on the UNESCO heritage site list. Don't miss a chance to visit.
  • The best thing about this town is this castle. Don't miss! The view from the castle is superb. The castle garden which is on the top is also very very nice.
  • Česky Krumlov Castle is preserved very nicely and looks like a brick pearl in its surroundings. It's also a great experience to walk the streets of small and cosy town.
  • This is very beautiful castle of Czech Replublic. I took around the castle with a guide called "Adam", he described the castle history with amusement. I thought his followers enjoyed a whole moment same as me. Take your 2-3 hours and you will love here.
  • A UNESCO world heritage site, the castle, theatre, and grounds are incomparable. The admission prices are low compared to other sites of this caliber. You can visit all you want to see in one day, two at the very most.
