Great zoo with nice variety of animals, built in a nice green hill. Calculate approximately 4 hours to see it all, but it's nicely designed and ultimately worthwhile.

After 3 years we decided to visit again the Brno Zoo. I have to admit that the leadership really worked like a nezahálelo and on the construction of new and exciting attractions. I liked the range between kangaroos, new African village and I look forward to a new range of lions, which has not yet missed to attend. The only thing I objected and i had goose bumps, is about 100 years old building, the meerkats, where previously they were piranhas. I also like the concept of a ban on smoking in all areas, but also smokers can smoke in designated areas in the African village with views of the giraffes and the polar bears. I appreciate it because of that, even if smoking is taboo today, so i think the needs of smokers. After all, such a man could be grumpy, that he could not smoke and would spoil the trip family. Who ever was in the Brno zoo knows that there are unused ". boring passages. Therefore, surprised me pleasantly instructive boards and landmarks on the animals, and also a game for kids throughout the garden, where the creators were trying to diversify to stay in the zoo for the little ones who won't hold the attention only on animals, but they can try and point, where they look for cards with animals along the way. Day at the zoo I have very perky, I definitely recommend.

Nice zoo for kids, lots of playgrounds and train. Some parts and exhibits are still old and small, but Its being renovated and rebuild constantly. Right now, zoo is in much better shape then 10 years ago.

ZOOs are supposedly educational and conservational institutions. But this is not the case. For the most part, ZOOs work as entertainment for humans and a prison for nonhuman animals. They are created for profit. There are other ways to educate children about animals that don't involve animal captivity.
