  • Most people know the famous ossuary church at Kutna Hora, but this is right underneath Brno city centre! They only rediscovered this place recently, and only part of it is open but I highly recommend ...  more »
  • Ossuary. James holds the bones of Brňanů, who died in the plague pandemics. Memento mori! Very impressive.

  • Location next to the Church of St. Dzhmesona. Buried at the Church in a special underground bunker. Thus when the bunker was filled with fully decided to create the Sedlec ossuary. If you have never been in an institution of this kind, it is worth a visit. I was on another ossuary (Junta-mountain). To me there is more like it. But still I did not otgovarivaju from this institution. All good holiday

  • It's really an interesting place. Despite the fact that it is the second largest ossuary in Europe, the exhibition is quite small. Part of the information (the first room) is both in English and Czech language; however, the rest of them is only in Czech. You'll get a 'brochure' with introduction in your native language but is is a bit repetitive (redundant with the information in the entrance room). The chambers with bones are impressive, decorated with some modern artworks (unfortunately descriptions were in Czech language) along the old tombstones. The price wasn't bad but I purchased a concession ticket. This place is certainly worth a visit in Brno.
  • Quite nice and organized ossuary. One of the biggest on Europe but not so pretty or big as the one in Evora, Portugal.
  • Creepy but also interesting. The music and atmosphere there is chilling. I would not recommend to bring kids with you.
  • If you have any interest in the history of European plagues or funerary practices, this is a must-see location. There are both original and rebuilt sections of the catacombs.
  • A bit overpriced. The arrangement is not as good as in Kutna hora. The exhibition area is quite small!
