Namesti Svobody, Brno

4.0
Watch the legends of the city come to life at Namesti Svobody, which is dotted with medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. Head to the top of the 63 m (207 ft) high tower of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul for a view of the historical area. At the old town hall entrance, look for the town's well-known emblems: the Brno Dragon--the stuffed body of a crocodile that terrorized the citizens in the past--and a wagon wheel. Consider a stop at the capuchin crypt, then switch gears by picking up some fresh fruit or flowers at the cabbage market. Throughout the center, you'll find cafes, restaurants, and shops. • Two weeks ago I went through again after a few years of "Svoboďákem", and that's why I like the former brňačka this space with a certain detachment. Even though he was now more vibrant, with many seating areas and with the possibilities of different snacks, he seemed a little dingy and sad overall. As if the facades of houses have long been maintained, expenses in the vicinity were arranged somewhat old-fashioned and, despite the new furniture and a few artistic installations, this poměrnė large square with no specific genius loci that can be felt in Prague and Vienna, but also in the much smaller Mikulov. Maybe the feeling is caused due to the tram transportation, including the stop of this instead of crosses.

  • Great place to buy shoes. I love to go here first to see what is new...
  • A typical song. Leather shoes that I bought here, should the inside of the heel part of the leather. After a few months the naturally began to crack. And on it went according to the script standard-non-recognition of a claim due to ill-treatment. Boots were otherwise in excellent condition, free of abrasions, nesešlapané, neokopané. They made me puke. I'm not going to shop here again.
