Namesti Svobody, Brno
(4/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Watch the legends of the city come to life at Namesti Svobody, which is dotted with medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. Head to the top of the 63 m (207 ft) high tower of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul for a view of the historical area. At the old town hall entrance, look for the town's well-known emblems: the Brno Dragon--the stuffed body of a crocodile that terrorized the citizens in the past--and a wagon wheel. Consider a stop at the capuchin crypt, then switch gears by picking up some fresh fruit or flowers at the cabbage market. Throughout the center, you'll find cafes, restaurants, and shops. Arrange your visit to Namesti Svobody and discover more family-friendly attractions in Brno using our Brno itinerary planner.

  • The main square has become more attractive in recent years thanks to some buildings. Banks and restaurants predominate, a city centre EKZ with cinema Temple is accessible by a passageway. Very good Öffi links, especially to the station or the Janácek theatre. Recommended hotel in the Dvirakova, that way is.

  • A beautiful, historic town square full of people, a bit incomprehensible clock in the middle. I recommend and the view from the Town Hall
