  • too modern for an old city but it's in the middle so you cant miss it. come at 11am or pm to try to catch the glass ball. stick your hand into one of the four bottom hole and good luck!  more »
  • The oldest square in Brno with several historical buildings. It's not just a black obolisk, it's a unique clock with strange mechanism which makes you do deep analysis to be able to tell the time  more »

  • In our conservative little Czech world, we desperately need objects like this to spark controversy and activate discussion. A waste of money? No, actually a great investment. I haven't seen any other piece of art attract as much attention to a city. Honestly, the square has some nice architecture, but it would be quite average without the clock. With the clock, it is provocative. A big win in my opinion.
  • I think it's more funny than pretty and everyone in Brno has different opinion about it. However you cannot miss it on your trip through city centre so make your own opinion. :)
  • Brno's main square, named Freedom square is very charming and finally they tepair it up to kind of representative state. This astronomical clock doesn't need to be seen. It's just like big dildo in the corner. You can find many other nice places in Brno. Try to check old city hall and so called Cabbage square
  • A statue of stupidity you must see :) Millions spent on a clock that you can only read at full hours... We have such one in Hungary too.
  • this clock is quite weird, black stone clock missile shaped and, in order to read the time you have to check the instruction written nearby. Czech people are not very proud of it because is not really reflecting the history behind. Tip: at 11:00 every day, the clock release a transparent glass ball with the czech flag inside, there are 4 holes where you can put your hand and hope to catch the ball :) good luck!
