Vzbodrivshis a cup of espresso, we went to the next datum point of our trip-pilgrimage to the holy mountain complex in Pribram. Park the car in the parking lot at the foot of the mighty Hill, we cheerfully climbed to its top. History of the name eminence (like mount this Hill language does not call) over the town of Příbram, as well as the first chapel on the Hill, covered with mysteries and legends. To begin with, that the time of appearance of the first chapel in these places it is unknown. One legend States that it ordered to build some Knight Malovec in zamshelom XIII century (one of the many paintings inside the current monastic complex depicted a scene of gang attacks on his last husband well, and type in gratitude for this miraculous rescue Malovec and ordered to build the first chapel in honor of their salvation-the Blessed Virgin Mary). With this particular legend, to put it mildly, Bohuslav Balbín historian does not agree that, based on their study, dates the emergence of 16th century chapel. There are other version is supposedly on the mountain since ancient times lived in hermits, who worshipped the most Holy Theotokos. Later this place was off, and people came to worship the statuette of the Virgin, Svyatogorsk according to legend, cut from the log-Archbishop Arnošt of Pardubice. So, what would there not talking, the chapel originated and is already in the 16th century became the ultimate goal for many.

The Basilica minor one reached from the town of Příbram either by bus or on foot, you can go up a hill or take the stairs in the claim. The Basilica is really nice, it has been restored in recent years and you realize it very well - all frescoes have been renovated, plaster is cleaned even the Interior looks very nice. I would recommend a visit to the Museum, it costs only 60 CZK (student) or a little more, but the Museum is really built into a Western-style, definitely. Very interactive and interesting designs, there are also descriptions in English and German, so it is also fine as a stranger. One learns a lot about the history of the sacred place of the statue of the Madonna and looks also some ancient artifacts in the Museum. A film in Czech is prepared for children, where some stories of this church will be presented. Made really great and I would recommend it to anyone to go there.
