4.5/5 based on 190 reviews on the web
Konopiste Castle became famous as the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, whose assassination in Sarajevo triggered World War I. Stop by to the castle's museum to see the bullet that killed him, which was fired by Gavrilo Princip. Take a guided tour to see Ferdinand's residential rooms, a shooting hall with moving targets (he was an avid hunter), and a garden with Italian Renaissance statues and greenhouses. Explore the third-largest European collection of armory and medieval weapons, as well as a large collection of antlers. • Konopiště Castle is not only interesting, but also the surroundings, where there is still a lot of possible other activities. In the castle we went through one of his three laps and we were lucky to the Guide, was a sweet, happy to answer intrusive questions and, moreover, knew he was talking about. Which at the time carried out in summer every foreman that he knows only what he has learned and even half forgotten, I can really appreciate. The only thing I regret is I think a lot of overpriced admission to 3. circuit. Unfortunately neither of lines is not fully handicapped-accessible, which is according to me the damage.

  • Krasny a udrzovany zamek, prohlidka take zajimava. Prilehly park a jezero urcite stoji za prozkoumani.
  • Impressive place ruined somewhat by the lack of English tours (I never understood why we can't be given an audio guide and allowed to join a different language group). Staff are a bit direct too.
  • Amazing castle restaurants and Lake
  • Very beautiful. You have to see this places
  • Lovely castle just 40 minutes from Prague
