  • discovered by chance this gem away from the road and not visible at first. Small fishing boats in departing, water blue azure, a little wave, black rocks, a pebble beach and a Sun who is hiding and that reverberates on the water.

  • The easy drive along the coast road from the Polis direction is good and the views of and from the harbour are super, if you can ignore the observation towers on the hill top marking the beginning of ...  more »
  • We lived in Pomose week. Apartments by the sea. On the second day in the early morning hours walked around the village and reached port. Quite a small port. Mainly fishing boats. There is a parking place. Near from the main road. Adjacent restaurant with a fish menu. Around 8.00 bought for 10 euro just caught fish (about 1 kg) directly from the ship, when we came from fishing. The captain has treated coffee, offered the following morning to go out with him to the sea for fishing. Free of charge. In general the locals were amazingly friendly and helpful. The first evening helped pull our car stuck as a result of a failed parking near a local cafe. Then gave us cigarettes and offered coffee. From proposals to treat them as a token of gratitude for their active assistance categorically refused. All greet each other, smiling. There is no feeling that you deal exclusively as an opportunity for earnings. A striking contrast to the large cities with developed tourist zones on Cyprus.
