  • Beautiful architecture in a prominent position in Paphos, unfortunately when I arrived it was locked so I can't comment on the interior.  more »
  • Walking through the Center we came to this church. Very unusual outside due to its location on a cliff, it has interested us. And since the temple is located near the bus station, we have chosen him for a meeting. Because meet Easter in Cyprus and see the Cypriot Customs can only be visited in the service. On good Friday in Cyprus made decorating the shroud (the symbol of the Holy Sepulchre) flowers and midnight to make a procession with her, after which the flowers are distributed to the faithful. We participated in the procession during and even walked under the shroud, along with everyone else. A great Saturday watched another Cypriot custom-burn an effigy of Judas, after which, of course, lit candles and took part in the transfer of the Holy fire from priests to all comers. Inside the temple walls whitewashed just modestly, self-effacing iconostasis. But the Church is famous for the miraculous icon of the Theotokos, according to legend, written by the Apostle Luke. Like the rest of the great shrines of the island closed image of human sight cover.

  • It is a beautiful orthodox church which we could see just outside. It has narrow time schedule to be open and no specific time for visitors.  more »

  • In Kato Paphos, up the slope from the Harbour. Nice looking church. Looks much more modern than the rebuild date of 1923. A couple of shaded benches outside if you just want to get out of the sun for a while. Away from most of the traffic and a relatively peaceful location.
  • Very nice looking church.
  • Beautiful looking church
  • This old church is literally named "covered by God" as it was built on a cliff and was clearly visible to pirate raiders from afar. However, when the pirates got closer to the shore, thick mist covered the entire area essentially hiding the church, making it impossible to locate. A great sight to visit and very close to the coastal walkway. Open during the day, free for anyone to visit.
  • Beautiful church. It's tiny and simple. Today 30/10/2016 Olga Mary baptizes girl Diana.
