  • Monastery of Saint Tecla healing is on the road of Limassol-Nicosia near the Mosfiloti village, near mount Stavrovuni. The monastery has a long history and is closely linked with the spread and strengthening of Christianity in Cyprus: it was founded by the St. Helena during her visit to the island at the beginning of the 4th century AD. There is evidence that St Helena prayed at the spot where the monastery now stands. In response to her prayers of the Earth started hitting the source. Helen ordered to build a chapel dedicated to St. pervomučenice St. Fekle. Still on the territory of the monastery beats source and gives people the Holy miraculous moisture: there are many substantiated facts when people (especially children) with serious skin diseases, receive healing from the water and mud. Yes and she exhibited the icon of Santa Tecla also has miraculous healing power. It is no coincidence, the monastery is a place of pilgrimage not only Cypriots but also many tourists-one after the other to the monastery there. The monastery itself is a very small two-storey building with a quiet courtyard, lush greenery and flowers. Like most monasteries in Cyprus, the number of novice nuns living here is small-only eight people. (Previously, the monastery was male, but after discovering anew in 1991 year, the monastery functioned as a nunnery), Here very quietly. No fuss, despite the large number of visitors. You feel some kind of spiritual comfort. Will be in Cyprus, be sure to visit this Holy abode!

  • Visited this monastery in June 2016, the first time being in Cyprus. This remarkable Holy location felt inner peace, some kind of unearthly calm. I wanted to stay longer, but tour buses followed one after the other, and time to walk and admire the monastery was limited. Brought Saints gifts: clay and the holy water. And even bought there such bracelets-charms with knots, each knot is a prayer of monks wear with her son without removing, just bought ikonočku. visit unique, but who wants not to hurry, I recommend to go to the monastery itself, without a tour group and listen to that tells you about the monastery guide with any group who drive there every 10 minutes.
