Camel Park, Mazotos

(4.2/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
The Camel Park at Mazotos is conveniently located only 15 minutes from Larnaca Airport and centrally located between Larnaca, Limassol & Nicosia. Established in 1998, it is run by a family whose love for the countryside and animals made it possible for them to create a unique park. In the past, camels were used for transportation on the island but today they can only be found at the Camel Park. Visitors will find plenty of places to take photographs and a souvenir shop that offers mementos of their trip.

The beautiful park has places where adults can sit back and relax whilst their children can enjoy the play area which has a bouncy castle , swings, go-carts, a flight simulator and much more. Children can learn about nature and animals by seeing and touching the deer, ostriches, goats, ponies, horses, donkeys, kangaroos and many other animals. Adults can enjoy a great meal at the restaurant which overlooks the park or have cocktails by the pool. The swimming pool offers a welcome escape from the summer heat for all.

The biggest attractions in the park, of course, are the camels, which visitors can feed and ride. Visitors are welcome to explore the park's scenic grounds or enjoy an exhilarating safari ride through the countryside. This adventure is a wonderful experience for both adults and children.

The Camel Park can also be used for barbecues, school excursions and birthday parties. The restaurant can provide catering for up tp 400 people.

  • Loved the camel park! Was my favorite place by far! My one year old had a lot of fun! Many animals and great area for kids to play!
  • We really enjoyed seeing and feeding all the animals here. The entrance fee is very reasonable and there is a surprising amount of things to do inside (and many many camels). We liked the donkey the m...  more »
  • An interesting mini zoo. It contains a lot of camels (obviously) but also emu's, llamas, donkeys ponies, porcupines, etc. It seemed well kept, and has a good children's play area with artificial grass...  more »
  • Great for the kids. Get a large bag of camel food as the small one won't last night you past the first few camels. It's cheap to get in. They make their money in the camel rides - which are worth it. Kids can be kept busy here for 2 hours or so. That's gives enough time to camel ride, see the other animals, plan at the park. You can swim here for just 1 Euro extra. Not tried the restaurant yet.
  • The place is small but made with a lot of love. The prices for a camel ride are OK. Very nice people. The park is a bit older but like I said with a lot of love made. The park has a lot of small details. Especially for small kids a very nice trip.
  • Great fun, fantastic animals. Brilliant pool and restaurant. Staff very helpful. Immaculately clean. 🐪🐪🐪🐪🐪
  • Nice place. We intended a 2 hours visit but we ended to spend there the full day. The kids were first a little intimidated by the camels, but after feeding and riding them we could't take them from the area. A lot of fun activities, from 5d cinema to swimming pool, the only draw-back is the food at the restaurant, the pizza and the sea-food are cheap frozen products from the supermarket...
  • Beautiful place to visit with kids. There's small zoo, kids attractions, restaurant. Worth visiting.
