Visit Otrobanda, one of the most historically important areas of the capital of Curacao. Within the area, there are over 800 UNESCO-listed monuments. Originally developed in the 18th century, the area now serves as a popular shopping destination. The now redeveloped neighborhood houses many historical merchants’ homes, and offers great examples of Dutch colonial architecture. From here, you can also enjoy panoramic views of Punda and the open sea. Sip on a coffee on a cafe terrace, or visit the stalls set up from time to time by vendors. Use our Curacao trip generator to visit Otrobanda on your trip to Curacao, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.
