Curacao Liqueur Distillery, Willemstad
(3/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Go behind the scenes to see the making of the island's most famous export at Curacao Liqueur Distillery. Distilled onsite since 1896, the liqueur with an iconic deep-blue color was invented, as many great things are, by chance. A local, experimenting with the rinds of the native citrus fruit called Laraha, came up with the drink that would become synonymous with the island country. Take a tour of the facility and learn the history and production process of the liqueur, then treat yourself to a sampling at the onsite bar. A visit to Curacao Liqueur Distillery represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Curacao vacation trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • Spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour or so at the Curacao Liqueur distillery. Arrived and was the only one there - so they put on an English tour just for me. A Dutch couple arrived and they got a person...  more »
  • Fun tour with Tourgide Eli. Highly recommended! And tasty cocktails tasting. A centuries-old tradition

  • It is relatively quickly by the small distillery, but it is nice to have seen and at the end you can enjoy even the various liqueurs. The attached cocktail bar was really good.

  • Inside the Chobolobo colonial House, you can visit the small workshop yourself for free, there are tastings of products whose purchase is possible in the area. The liquor costs less in supermarkets, where there are no gift boxes. Interesting 😁

  • You can see some of the production and, at the end of may the liqueur be tasted in history. In the shop, it's expensive as in the duty free at the Airport ($25 vs.) $20 5 trial Pack for the). Only 350ml bottle gives it not at the airport but only the 700ml.

  • It is the origin of the Blue Curacao. A small distillery of course adapt the time, himself remains faithful to itself. It is, not exported with one exception. Who wants to have the liquor must be on the island. It may also be tried. And it makes a considerably passive Untetschied the BOLs. By the way, the original Curacao is clear...

  • On arrival, you only by the Board welcomes. You should own but figuring out where to go. The staff communicates solely with their phone. No interest in business. The Board/website promised us a tasting. This was not fulfilled.
