Nature / Park
The 9 hectare (22 acre) Josone Park represents one of the most popular places in the city, attracting half a million people annually. The lake provides a backdrop for colorful birds and tropical plants, and you can hire pedal boats to explore it. The park also features a swimming pool, miniature golf, and a playground, plus lots of spots to find a bit of shade and watch the world go by. A few bars and restaurants on the outskirts provide a place in which to escape the heat and refuel. Sometimes live bands perform here. • I loved the Park, we liked to explore it but... I wished to know something of its history just by the taxi driver who came to us to the place. There should be some guide that visitors to explain their origin, use given by Fidel Castro, its origin, etc. It could be exploited much better this green space as there is in the city of Varadero many tourist attractions with the exception of its beautiful beaches.

  • It's definitely one of the best public park I've ever visited. There is large amount of amenities such as restaurants, boat hire services or small cafés. It's worth a visit. Especially, if you can use the Hop On/Off bus from the hotel resorts in Varadero.
  • A quiet oasis in the middle of the tourist zone. Small lagoon, paths and various eating / drinking establishments. Enter from Avenida 1ra or the Autopista, other gates are often locked.
  • Ok
  • A very quaint park. I have been to Varadero now 5 times but did not know about this park. Inside you can rent row boats or paddle boats and explore a rather large winding pond.
  • Must see with a good pina colada
