  • I've never swum in a waterfall before so here was my chance. It's a lovely hike and despite what they tell you about footwear (I bought a pair of trainers in Trinidad) you can wear your espadrilles (n...  more »
  • a very nice park and walking route, a little "Gorky", a lot of interesting vegetation, a lot of ptakow, generally out of nature. For individuals saw who like walking very cool option.

  • We went from Trinidad in our own car, whereupon we save ourselves the these organized tours by the Cubans who do not cease to be one method of take the money the tourists. It is true that arriving there to pay the entrance fee, but if you do not want, it does not lack that spend nothing more, you go nothing or that pay their own guide, as I've been reading in other views. I.e., once you walk in the Park, there is a pretty long path through which we reach a very nice waterfall on a pond in which you can swim. The road is beautiful, surrounded by reeds of bamboo kilometre, ancient trees, all kinds of flora and fauna, and is left to see the River in which you end up bathing you arriving at the waterfall above (if you want!). By the way, when we were, we were alone, and we swim alone, and take the Sun alone... There was no one more! so it was a luxury to enjoy nature in this way. I think it was a day during the week! For us it was very cool, but when I came out of the water I thanked him for not having seen any snake or dangerous bug! We have not been in more parks of this style in Cuba, but our experience was very good, although it is true that depended not on anyone guide us or take us, or "forced" us to consume. Us not ate in the restaurant of the output (a kind of large bar), so we cannot give a founded opinion on the matter, but I do remember that water bottle we arriving dehydrated was very expensive. It is important to wear shoes appropriate for walking, that it is safe and protects the tread. Also recommend sunscreen, although in Cuba that always!
