  • In the vicinity of Santiago, you can have a walk on the island known as the island of the fishermen... that we have renamed the island of thieves! A small restaurant (see attached photo) offers a menu of fish, lobster or shrimp, so far is normal... except that no card or menu are presented to the customers. So if you forget to ask the price before you order, you will have a very bad surprise when paying the Bill. an exorbitant price compared to what we had been able to pay to Santiago and the rest of the trip! Excellent lesson for the rest of the trip.

  • Great views, meeting with fishermen and good food. The boat ride over is very nice. try to eat out on the deck as the view, breeze and ambiance is wonderful. Food is ok
  • Cayo Granma you can see perfectly with the walls of the del Morro. A small fishing island lies in the middle of the Bay. To a choose you must cross some 4 kilometers and go down to the dock near the restaurant. Ferries to Cayo Granma sail on average every 1.5 hours. You can work around the islet itself in Max. a 40-minute drive away. It is worth also to the top, where there is a small wooden church. On the island there are two restaurants (not used). It is worth to the Granma to see how quietly and slowly live local.
