4.1/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web
Intricate details carved in dark wood make Casa de Diego Velazquez a desirable destination for visitors interested in learning more about Cuba's rich cultural and artistic heritage. Built between 1516 and 1530, the house remains the oldest building one the island, which once served as the residences of Spanish conqueror and first governor Diego Velazquez. Each room presents a window into the past, featuring French porcelain, Spanish ceramics, and other decorative objects with an obvious Moorish twist. To get the most out of your experience, visit the museum with an English-speaking guide. • It is not only recommended by what it contains, but also by their guides. It made us a girl that knew very well the history of Santiago and his people, and that made us enjoy your city tour. Certainly recommended.

  • Beautiful ancient House perhaps the oldest in Cuba. Through the styles of furniture you will discover the history of Cuba. The guided tour is free but you are prompted to give a tip. I touched a young prepared they call Corazón. Ask her and be generous if it deserves.
