Visit Antonio Maceo Revolution Square, a giant historic plaza of Havana. The open space stretches far and wide and serves as a prominent place for large-scale political rallies, public events, and even concerts. Today the square is home to numerous government monuments and buildings. On the north side sits the Ministerio del Interior featuring a huge mural of Che Guevara with the words “Hasta la Victoria Siempre.” Take an elevator to the top of Jose Marti Memorial, which at 109 m (358 ft) high offers spectacular views of the city. The most important events in the square are held on May 1st (International Workers' Day) and July 26th (the commemoration of the attack on the Moncada barracks). • The plaza, as all that are spread throughout Cuba, is a huge place that commemorates the revolution, perhaps is the largest and most spectacular.

  • I'm extremely dissapointed because I came here expecting it to be very square but to me it was much too circular. Very misleading. Square up.
  • Majestic Monument. Near bus station via Azul buses.
