  • At the foot of the majestic statue, in this huge square celebrating an authentic hero of our times, there are no words but only emotion. Here I don't care to be neutral ... Clenched fist to the sky and ... "Hasta siempre, comandante!"

  • A huge experience to come to this place, where a world-renowned is buried (or parts of him). First a visit to the Museum where "Che" and his "friends" is buried, and where you can get a feel for what circumstances they lived under in the mountains before the "Batista" was overthrown. Then out and view the large statue of "Che" and how that burns an eternal flame in memory of the great "hero"

  • If you have arrived to Santa Clara, probably to see this monument. Do not enter the crypt below, that cannot be accessed with bags or cameras, so we only took the photo of rigor up. It is not an imposing monument, but there is nothing else to do in the city. Not worth the scroll so many miles just to see this.

  • Where: Che Guevara Mausoleum - Santa Clara, Cuba What: A monument and kind of museum for Che How was it: We wanted to visit this place because we only hear great things of Che but rarely have the opportunity to visit a historical site. Especially when you are on the Cayo, which is approx 1h30 from Santa Clara. We did that trip 2x, once when we were heading to the resort (luckily we were the first off the bus) and the other time to visit the city. It was raining one day and we decided to take a taxi. The problem is that we took it too late in the day and we arrived at this location with 15-20 minutes to spare. They are very protective (understandably) so they don't allow you to bring cameras or bags. It was free to enter but we barely got to visit as they rushed us out of the museum. We spent more time on the memorial part, which is kind of a inside cemetery with small waterfall. It felt very zen there. Then we spent some time taking pictures of the statue outside. Check us out on Facebook, we have more pictures there. Grade: Eli = 2, Serge = 4 Recommend: Well, it's a nice thing to do, just expensive and lengthy drive from the Cayo. We recommend you go with a plan, get a taxi and spend the day around. That's what we would do, should we have to redo it.
  • This was the last part of the Journey in Trinidad. It was well worth it. We all love Che Guevara. Salute to the Marxist Rebel. Lovely display of the historic aspect of Che life
  • Was great to learn about history Dont go on raining day as staff will not let.you inside museum
  • Quite an interesting place. Don't forget to get inside for a memorable view of the mausoleum and a free visit of the museum
  • Good historical site. Large Soviet-Esque plaza.
