  • The cave (Cueva) San Thomas lies between Pinar del Rio and Viñales. It is one of the largest caves in Europe. To commit them one has to cope with uphill at first approx. 50 meters. A cave tour with a guide takes about 90 minutes and costs 10 euro per person. The equipment in the form of a helmet with mid-engine caves lamp is included. In the cave, about 25 degrees when humid air dominate, making the thing a little sweaty affair. But definitely to recommend. The other smaller caves around Vinales around are not nearly as spectacular.

  • Ideal to start caving since it's a walk through the interior of the mountain almost suitable for everyone. Visit three levels of the cave where you can see magnificent limestone formations. The visit is completely in the dark, with only the light from the lantern of the helmet that you provide when you enter. The groups are reduced, which improves the experience.
