  • I've hesitated about writing this up since visiting Cuba in November because it was such a mixed experience. However in retrospect it was one of the most memorable of our three-week trip, so here goes...  more »
  • For several years we have been dreaming of this island from Cayo Largo but lack of information and time, we postponed this project. This is it - we took the catamaran with the employees of hotels in Cayo Largo - with a duration of 4 hours (it is also possible to take a flight to Havana to then take a flight or a "Ferry" for the island but schedules are always inconsistent, and there is a big waste of time). Once on-site, a friend there welcomed us and we stayed in a "casa particular" issue of absorb us this different culture. We rented a taxi and visited different places. Really - we regret not to be stayed. It was a very rewarding experience.

  • Island easy to reach but that falls due to its peacefulness and naturalness. A few cars, amiable people, zero stress. The best beaches are in the South, difficult to reach if not with a road trip very uncomfortable or by boat from the hotel colony but ... worth it! white sand, blue sea and all this just for a few people. ever seen a sea so gorgeous without facilities or mass tourism. Also worth seeing are the presidio modelo, the Cathedral of bamboo, crocodile and poblado crocodile farm.
