  • It is a nice old church... something that you probably wouldn't expect in a communist country. On the other hand Cuba is a catholic country, so visit at the San Jose Church is highly recommended to ex...  more »
  • On the way to the Hill of the cross passed through one of the many squares Ol'gina Céspedes Park, which is the Church of San Jose. Sometimes the size on different planes and called the Plaza San Jose. In front of the Church is an interesting monument of the Patriots. The Church has still not restored. The church operates, if lucky will be opened.

  • The neoclassical building was opened in 1815. In previous centuries, religious services were held under the Royal Palms or other welcoming shaded trees until October 5, 1692, in which was inaugurated the first Church in Managuaco and the first mass was said by the prebistero Don Gonzalo de Lagos.
