  • It is worth climbing the stairs for a peek. The cathedral is quite small inside and felt it would be intrusive to take photos like I would in a larger cathedral.  more »
  • Striking pure and white style, its rounded and domed topped with 4 crosses. The Orthodox Cathedral of our Lady of Kazan, is a Russian Orthodox Temple located in the Avenida del Puerto, declared by Unesco as a world heritage site. The Byzantine-style Church has six colorful domes, two rolled gold (the largest and smallest) and four bronze, which are crowned by four solid gold crosses. The entrance stairway was built with granite from the province of Sancti Spiritus and is said to be the second largest among those built outside Russia, only preceded by one in Israel. Women may not come short, pro if you can meet freely. I have attached photos. was I helpful?

  • Very interesting part of La Habana. As I was told there is a plenty of Ukrainian Orthodox population from the time of Chernobyl disaster. Some USSR citizens living in Ukraine were hosted by Cuba.
  • The church Is relative new building, it was a gift from Russia to Cuba.
  • Breathtaking

  • Belonging rooted to Russian Orthodox civilization, we could not visit the only Orthodox Church in Havana-Church of the icon of the mother of God. It is noteworthy that this church was built on the initiative of Fidel Castro. Very clean, bright and cozy Orthodox Church! Prayed and put a candle. By the way, when you enter inside the temple met Russian-speaking kubinku boy who heard Russian speech, spread with us a couple of phrases. It was nice and us and them!
