TripAdvisor
  • a good Museum to discover the history and secrets of the famous Cuban rum and tasting. Located in old Havana, close to the port

  • We did a quick visit, but we didn't get to do the tour. Recommend checking the timetables and evaluate whether to participate.

  • The only thing worth the Museum are the explanations of the guides since the rooms show models and do not see the process as such. In short, who want to learn about the rum-making process, you can read it on the website of Havana Club and avoid paying the 8 CUC per person which is the entrance to the Museum. The "tasting" is tiny, they offer a minimal amount of rum (of a type) in a plastic cup.

  • A huge ripoff. For 7 CUC, I would expect a well-guided tour of a rum production facility. However, this museum only has models of the process. The guide explained nothing- he only translated the distilling terms into 10 different languages. At the end we got to try the 7-year rum, but instead of using the cool fancy glasses on the shelves, they gave us cheap plastic cups. The only thing that was well-done was the film on the history of rum in Cuba.
  • Like most of the tours in Havana except for our tour in a classic car, it was good, but also a little disappointing. Probably the best bit was sitting in the bar next to the museum and.drinking the 7 year old rum. You have to do it, but you may feel a little let down at the end of it.
  • There is a guided tour of the venue. The rhum is not actually produced there but they explain the machineries and process used to produce rhum. There is a shop (expensive for regular bottle, best deal for expensive ones). It is a cash only place.
  • Great displays about the traditional rum making process, complete with a miniature model of the rum factory. Rum for sale!
  • Nice and interesting. Store in the place.
