Museo del Chocolate, Havana

(3.6/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Head to the sweet heart of town at Museo del Chocolate, a cultural attraction and cafe dedicated to all things cocoa. Though billing itself as a museum, the facility doesn't actually feature a huge range of artifacts or historical write-ups. Aside from a few interesting old wrappers, machines, and ads, the significance of the place comes from what it makes on the premises. Watch as artisans produce chocolatey treats before your eyes, and sniff the intoxicating aroma. Take a seat at the onsite cafe to try a treat from the menu of hot, cold, big, and small chocolatey products. • Air conditioning is very strong so bring a sweater if you want to sit down to enjoy a hot chocolate. There are some interesting items, but it is very small. It's free for the visit. I bought some chocolate but they have chocolate milk (no black) and it is extremely sweet! I don't like him...

  • Very tasty stop indeed. A good variety of items to select but they were out of most of the dark chocolates. Not much in the way of a museum. Some items around but most not labeled. But still a good tr...  more »

  • Try Their cold chocolate! it is very good
  • I like chocolate so I enjoyed this place. It's not a museum, it's a cafe but the chocolate drink and piece of chocolate I got was really tasty and that's what I want.
  • The chocolate was probably the best I've ever tasted.
  • Not a large museum by any means, but definitely worth a visit while in the area. If there is a huge line up (like when I went) and you want to see the museum, tell the staff at the door and they will let you in. Delicious chocolate, and interesting flavours of hot chocolate.
  • Good dark & milk Cuban chocolate
