Interior Ministry/Ministerio del Interior, Havana

Government Building Tourist Spot
An important feature of Havana's skyline, the striking memorial facade of Interior Ministry/Ministerio del Interior provides an important reminder of the Cuban Revolution. Located in the famous Plaza del Revolución, the building supports a vast bronze wire sculpture of two of Cuba’s deceased revolutionaries, Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, installed in 1995. The words “Until the Everlasting Victory, Always” and “You’re doing fine, Fidel” float in the air, on the front of the building. Grab a photo in front of the iconic facade before heading up the José Martí Memorial. Interior Ministry/Ministerio del Interior is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Havana Edition.

  • Not an awful lot to see but it was nice to see a major piece of Cuban history in all its glory. Large square and monument. Power to the people..  more »
  • This building is worth at least a drive-by so that you can see the famous sculpture on the side of the building!  more »
  • Easy to recognize Che's image. This is a large parking area that makes it easy to take photos of the buildings. Vintage American cars (taxi) are a plus to photograph in this area.  more »
